We first met back in 2008 and became fast friends - so fast, in fact, that Priscilla tried to hold Aaron’s hand at the movies. Aaron, convinced it was a spider, jumped about a mile in the air. After that, Priscilla decided maybe it was time to move on (and Aaron checked his seat for spiders for years).
Life took us in different directions, but fate had other plans. When Priscilla moved back to San Luis Obispo for a new job, we reunited as if no time had passed at all. This time, there were no spiders - just laughter, long conversations, and a feeling that something special was happening.
Back when we first became friends, one of the songs we both loved was “Real Love” by John Lennon. It was a favorite of ours then, a song we bonded over in those early days.
Years later, when we reconnected, music once again became our language. We started a playlist together, taking turns adding songs. Naturally, “Real Love” found its way on there. Neither of us realized at the time that this song from our past would become our song.
"All my little plans and schemes - lost like some forgotten dream.
... Seems like all I really was doing was waiting for you."
These words ring true for us now in a way we never could have imagined back in 2008.
Now, as we get ready to celebrate our wedding on October 18th, we can’t help but feel that our story has always been about finding real love with one another.
We can’t wait to share this next chapter with you, and hope to see you there.
